Mahindra has introduced its powerful SUV, Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition. This is the most special product of the BE 6 range, which has a redesigned dashboard, triple-screen setup, new connected features and new interior.
The company has kept only the existing powertrain options for this car. The Sporteq Edition will cost more than the standard BE 6. Currently, the BE 6 range starts at ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Let us know what makes Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition special.
**Price and Exterior**
Mahindra has launched the BE 6 Sporteq at a starting price of ₹19.45 lakh, ex-showroom. However, it can also be purchased under the BaaS (Battery as a Service) model; With BaaS, prices start at ₹11.45 lakh, plus battery usage charge of ₹3.75 per kilometre.
The BE 6 is a coupe-style SUV, and the company has not made any changes to the design of the Sporteq edition. Features like LED lighting, sharp body creases, flush-type door handles and 20-inch alloy wheels have been retained in it. The main change is the addition of 'Sporteq' badging on the car.
**Interior and Features**
The biggest changes have been made to the interior. The Sporteq Edition features a triple-screen configuration instead of the dual-screen setup, featuring three 12.3-inch screens – a setup previously seen in the XEV 9e and XEV 9s. Apart from this, the dashboard has also been redesigned.
The new dashboard also gets more storage space along with easy access to wireless charging and a USB Type-C port. The car has a black and brown cabin theme. The upholstery has been improved, and the BE 6 SportEQ comes with a number of new connected car features.
Mahindra has introduced six new 'TEQ' technology suites that offer features focused on personalisation, connectivity and vehicle efficiency. Apart from this, this SUV has features like panoramic glass roof, Harman Kardon audio system, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 360-degree camera, ADAS and multiple drive modes.
Battery and range
Mahindra BE 6 SportEQ has the same electric powertrain as the current model. It comes with 59kWh and 79kWh battery options and has an electric motor at the rear. This vehicle generates power of 286 hp and torque of 380 Nm. The range of the vehicle with big battery is said to be 682 kilometers. There has been no change in the charging option either.
