Raipur: A very different and emotional scene was seen in a special foreign expo and weavers' conference organized in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. A former female Naxalite, who once chose the path of Naxalite violence by picking up a gun in her hands in the dense and dangerous forests of Bastar, walked the ramp in this program.

When this woman, who left the path of Maoist ideology and violence and returned to the mainstream, stepped on the stage wearing a very beautiful saree made of the famous traditional 'Kosa Silk' of Chhattisgarh, the entire hall echoed with thunderous applause. Her ramp walk was not just a display of fashion or modeling, but it symbolized a huge change in her life and a new beginning.
The journey from the darkness of violence to the light of respect There was a time when this woman worked with Naxalite organizations in the forests of Bastar and her life was always spent amidst fear, conflict and violence. But influenced by the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the government, he left the path of violence and decided to join the mainstream of the society.
After surrendering, he not only gave up his guns but also started trying to give a right direction to his life. Today, the same women created a new history in this international level expo and weavers conference of Raipur.

The main objective of this expo was to give international recognition to the local weavers, handicrafts of the state and especially the famous 'Kosa Silk' of Chhattisgarh. Many big businessmen, textile experts and buyers from India and abroad participated in this conference. When this former woman Naxalite walked on the ramp with confidence wearing a traditional Kosa silk saree, everyone present there was surprised and impressed. He showed how rich the art, culture and textiles of Bastar are.
