Technical fault in Air India flight coming from Bangkok to Delhi, flight stopped by applying emergency brakes on the runway.

Desk : Air India flight (AI 2335) coming from Bangkok to New Delhi had to be stopped by applying emergency brakes near the runway just before takeoff on Thursday evening. The cockpit crew detected a technical fault with the aircraft, following which the pilot decided to abort the flight due to safety concerns. There were more than 250 passengers on board this plane, who could be safely brought to Delhi on Friday evening, about 24 hours after their scheduled time.

After the cancellation of the flight, it was being said on social media that the technical fault was due to a fault in the hydraulic system, but Air India clearly denied these reports. The airline says the glitch was rectified within 2 to 3 hours on the same day and the same aircraft were operated the next day. However, according to passengers, when the plane was moving towards the runway for takeoff, the brakes were suddenly applied with a sharp jerk. A major accident was averted because the seat belt was on. Rescue vehicles and ambulances reached the runway immediately after the incident.

After the brakes were applied, the passengers had to sit inside the plane for a long time, after which they were brought to the terminal. The airline sent the business class passengers to Delhi on another flight the same night, while hotel accommodation was arranged for the economy class passengers. According to Air India, technically the aircraft was ready on the same day, but due to the completion of the crew member's duty time, the flight was possible only the next day.
