Uttarakhand News: Pushkar Singh Dhami government of Uttarakhand has taken another big step towards making the youth of the state self-reliant. After giving opportunities in government jobs to more than 34 thousand youth in a transparent manner in the last four and a half years, the government is now focusing entirely on self-employment and skill development. On the occasion of Independence Day, the Chief Minister has made many big announcements, most of which are directly related to the future of the youth of the state, improving their skills and motivating them to start their own businesses. The government clearly believes that the youth should be made not only job seekers but also capable entrepreneurs who will provide jobs in the future.

Special industrial parks will open in hilly districts

The government has prepared a strong strategy to prevent migration of youth from hilly areas and to make proper use of local resources. In this series, special industrial parks will be established in Chamoli, Pauri and Almora districts. With the construction of these parks, new industries will be established at the local level and the youth there will get excellent employment and business opportunities near their homes. These industrial parks are being designed keeping in mind the geographical conditions of the hilly areas and the natural resources available there, so that the local economy can get a new impetus.

Will get free training from IIT and IIM

It has been decided to start the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment and Entrepreneurship Promotion Scheme for the youth of the state aged between 18 to 30 years. The biggest feature of this scheme is that in this, the youth will be taught modern skills and entrepreneurship related tricks absolutely free of cost in collaboration with the prestigious institutions of the country like IIT and IIM. After completion of training, if any youth wants to start a new job, then the government will give him 30 percent amount as grant i.e. subsidy on the loan he gets from the bank. This will provide great relief to new businessmen in raising initial capital.

Youth Commission will be formed for the first time in the state

A dedicated platform is being prepared to convey all the issues related to youth, their problems and their expectations to the government. For this, it has been announced to constitute a Youth Commission for the first time in the state. This commission will act as an institutional platform, where suggestions will be taken to decide policies on topics related to education, skill development, sports, employment and self-employment. This will make it easier for the government to make plans based on the real needs of the youth.

Special encouragement to frontier youth and fire warriors

The government has also taken the initiative to provide special financial help and incentives to the youth, ex-servicemen and firefighters living in the border villages of the state. Creating strong means of livelihood in the border areas will not only stop the problem of migration, but will also make the border areas safe and prosperous. Apart from this, the government will provide additional assistance to the firefighters and ex-servicemen returning from national service to utilize their discipline and technical experience in the field of entrepreneurship.

Contribution of youth power in building developed Uttarakhand

The Chief Minister says that youth power is the biggest asset of the state. Thousands of people are already benefiting through Devbhoomi Entrepreneurship Scheme and Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme. Now with the new steps the youth of the state will join the mainstream of development and strengthen the economy of the state. The government stands with every youth who wants to move forward on the basis of his skills and hard work.
