Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented Bharat Ratna to former Prime Minister Late in Lucknow. Attended the tribute meeting organized on the 8th death anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. During this, he said, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Uttar Pradesh government has constructed 'Rashtra Prerna Sthal' in Lucknow as a living memorial of the memories of revered Atal ji.

He said, respected Atal ji, while representing India on the global stage, always kept the national interest paramount and presented his views firmly and effectively. Respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had always pursued honest politics. Atal ji always insisted on politics based on service, dedication, values and ideals. He gave top priority to these values and ideals throughout his political career.
The Chief Minister said, politics should not be merely a medium to attain power, but should be based on service, dedication, values and ideals – this was the insistence of revered Atal ji. He always took decisions in the interest of the country with the feeling of 'nation first'.
Also said, Medical University has been established in Lucknow in the name of respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. All the medical colleges of the state are affiliated with it. The construction of a Medical College named after him in his first workplace, Balrampur, is going on a war footing. Along with his grand statue, the work of construction of a museum and memorial has also been completed in his native village Bateshwar in Agra district.
