Balance of experience and new generation, big changes in Nitin Nabin's new team

Tezzbuzz Desk- BJP national president Nitin Nabin has announced his new national team. In this 65-member team, the party has tried to strike a balance between experience and the new generation. While many old and trusted faces have been retained on key responsibilities, new leaders have largely been given the opportunity in national secretaries, fronts and the media-social media organisation.

12 women have been given responsibility in the new national team. That means the share of women in the total team is about 18.5 percent. Vasundhara Raje, D. Purandeshwari, Rekha Verma, Varshaben Doshi, Dr. Bharti Pawar and Dr. Madhuchandra Kar have got the responsibility as national vice presidents.

Smriti Irani has been made the National General Secretary, while Kavita Patidar, Fannon Konyak and Sangeeta Yadav have got the responsibility of National Secretaries. Roop Kumari Chaudhary has been given the command of Mahila Morcha.

Big opportunity for new generation at General Secretary level

BJP has also made a big change in the post of National General Secretary. 6 new faces have been included in the total of 8 General Ministers. These include Smriti Irani, Viplav Dev, Satish Poonia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia.

Whereas Sunil Bansal and Vinod Tawde have been retained on this post. It is clear from this that along with promoting the new leadership, the party has also maintained the role of the experienced leaders of the organization.

Continuity has been seen on important positions in the BJP organization. BL Santosh will continue on the post of National General Secretary (Organization). Shivprakash will also continue to hold the responsibility of National Co-Organization General Secretary.

Saudan Singh has returned as co-organization general secretary. This indicates retention of experience and stability at the top level of the organization.

The biggest reshuffle among national secretaries

The most changes in the new team are visible at the level of national secretaries. A total of 14 new faces have been included in the total of 16 national secretaries. These include Kavita Patidar, K. Surendran, Dr. Bhola Singh, Dr. Pradeep Verma, Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel, Dr. Sandeep Pathak, Sangeeta Yadav, Dr. M. Venkatesan, Manoj Tigga, Siddharth Shambhu, Dr. Swadesh Singh, Mrigank Dev Burman, Rohan Gupta and Jai Prakash.

Phangnon Cognac and Anil Antony have been retained. The presence of about 87 percent new faces at this level shows that BJP is working on a strategy to rapidly promote the new generation at the middle level of the organization.

Piyush Goyal got important responsibility

Piyush Goyal has been made the national treasurer of the party. Along with his new organizational responsibility, the question is also arising whether he will continue in the role of Union Minister. However, the situation on this is not clear yet.

Rajesh Mangal has been made co-treasurer. He has been associated with the finance department of the party for a long time.

Whereas Tarun Chugh has been removed from the responsibility of National General Secretary and made in-charge of the party headquarters. With this, his role will now be more focused on the operations and organizational arrangements of the central office.

New president in all seven fronts

BJP has changed the presidents of all its seven fronts. The responsibility of Yuva Morcha has been given to Dr. Hemang Joshi, Roop Kumari Chaudhary of Mahila Morcha, Amarpal Maurya of OBC Morcha and Bansilal Gurjar of Kisan Morcha. Apart from this, the command of SC front has been handed over to Shivesh Kumar Ram, the responsibility of ST front has been handed over to Dr. Mannalal Rawat and the command of minority front has been handed over to Kunwar Basit Ali.

Through these changes the party tried to strengthen the reach of the organization among different social classes. There has also been an important reshuffle in the media and social media team of BJP. Anil Baluni has been retained, but Sanjay Mayukh, who was co-in-charge with him, has not got a place in the new team. In his place, Ashish Aggarwal, Pradeep Bhandari and Siddharth Yadav have been made co-convenors.

The responsibility of social media has now been given to Deepak Mhaske in place of Amit Malviya. Along with him, Preeti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt and Arun Yadav have been made co-convenors.

What is the formula of the new team?

If we look at Nitin Nabin's new national team, BJP has clearly Balance between experience and change Tried to make. On one hand, experienced leaders like BL Santosh, Sunil Bansal and Vinod Tawde have been retained on important responsibilities, while on the other hand, new faces have been brought forward on a large scale in national secretaries, fronts and media-social media team.

The appointment of 12 women in the 65-member team, 14 new faces among 16 national secretaries, 6 new faces among 8 general ministers and new presidents in all seven fronts makes the picture of this change clear.

Overall, the new BJP team is not completely dependent on old faces nor has it been completely handed over to the new generation. This team, with an average age of around 50 years, indicates a strategy combining experience, youth leadership, women participation and socio-regional balance.
