'Government refused but Supreme Court said that bullets were fired on students', said Tejashwi Yadav in CJP Parliament march controversy

Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday targeted the government regarding the students' agitation against the paper leak and the policemen. He said that on August 19, there will be a march to Raj Bhavan with the students. Tejashwi alleges that during the movement against paper leak, there was lathi charge and firing on students in various districts of Bihar but no action was taken against any responsible officer.

'Who gave the order to fire AK-47, the government should answer'

Tejashwi said that for the last several days, administrative officials are being questioned as to who had given the order to use AK-47 on the students, but till now the answer to this question has not been received. He alleged that the firing would not have happened without orders from a senior officer, hence accountability should be fixed against the officers who gave the orders. He should be suspended immediately.

Claim of three students shot in Siwan

Tejashwi said that there was a movement against paper leak in entire Bihar. During this time, the police had lathicharged and fired bullets at the students at various places. Hundreds of people were arrested. Many people were injured in this action. He claims that three students of Siwan were shot. Tejashwi said that I met the injured students. The students told him that the police had opened fire.

Was misled even in Parliament- Tejashwi

Tejashwi Yadav also targeted the central government. He said that when the issue of firing was raised in Parliament, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju talked about not firing. Tejashwi alleged that the government and the people sitting in the Parliament misled the people in this matter. Tejashwi said that Samrat Chaudhary is also the Home Minister of Bihar. He has not yet met the students nor communicated with them. Letters have been written several times to meet the injured students and get information about the entire matter, but no response has been received. Tejashwi raised the question as to why the government is avoiding listening to the students.

Allegation of use of AK-47 in Jehanabad also

Tejashwi claims that during the agitation in Siwan and Jehanabad also, AK-47 was used. He said that despite such a serious incident, not a single officer has been suspended till now. He demanded from the government to fix accountability in the paper leak case and take action against the officers responsible for the police action.

Raj Bhavan march will be held on 19th August

Tejashwi announced that on August 19, there will be a march to Raj Bhavan with students and unemployed youth. He said that the movement will take place in a peaceful manner. They allege that the government can use police force to suppress the movement, yet students and youth will continue to raise their voices for their demands.
