A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Shahid Wahid and comprising Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim has given this decision on the application of Imran Khan for hospitalization. The court also ordered the authorities to ensure that Imran Khan meets his family members every week due to the strict restrictions and isolation imposed on political prisoners in the country.
The report further said that the decision further directed the formation of a medical board, with which Khan's personal physician and his sister Uzma Khan would be associated. Efforts to conceal information about his condition were also reported, as Imran's lawyers and family members were instructed not to share his medical reports with the media or politicize the case.
