Kharge's taunt on Amit Shah – When I became MLA, Shah was not even born

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge fiercely targeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP during a public meeting in Goa. Questioning the role of BJP and RSS in the freedom movement, he said that Congress leaders fought for the country's independence, while BJP people now question the patriotism of Congress.

Said- What was your contribution in the freedom struggle?

Kharge said that when he became MLA, Amit Shah was not even born. Referring to Shah's age, he said that today proof of patriotism is sought from Congress and Gandhi family, but BJP should tell what contribution it made in the freedom struggle. The Congress President alleged that BJP forms governments by taking MLAs to its side for power. He said that the people have elected him as their representative and he will continue to raise his voice against the government in future also.

BJP targeted over 'purification'

Referring to an incident in Haldwani, Kharge also attacked BJP and Hindu organizations. According to him, after his rally on August 8, Shri Ram Sena had sprinkled Ganga water and performed havan at the same place on August 10. Linking this to discriminatory thinking towards Dalits, Kharge raised the question whether there is a need to 'cleanse' a place after a speech by a Dalit leader. He sought answers from BJP regarding this incident.

Rained down on the turncoat leaders of Goa also

Taking aim at the BJP government of Goa, Kharge claimed that out of the 12 ministers of the state, there are 10 who were earlier in the Congress and later changed the party to BJP. Describing the defecting leaders as 'traitors', he said that this has damaged the political values ​​and self-respect of Goa. Kharge appealed to the people to vote in favor of Congress and said that such leaders should not get a second chance.
