Shribhoomi: Today, on August 18, a memorandum was submitted in the name of the popular Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Vishwa Sharma, through Shribhoomi District Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi, in protest against the alleged objectionable and indecent remarks made by Congress leader Hafiz Rashid Ahmed Chaudhary against the popular Minister of Assam Government, Krishnendu Pal. On this occasion, all the Zilla Parishad members-members of the Bharatiya Janata Party of Shribhoomi district, the Chairman-Chairman of the Village Panchayat and the members-members of the Regional Panchayat were present.
Through the memorandum, it was demanded that such objectionable and indecent comments made against public representatives and ministers should be investigated impartially and properly and necessary legal action should be taken against the culprits. On behalf of BJP, it was said that such objectionable remarks towards a public representative and a responsible minister are not acceptable under any circumstances.
To maintain democratic decorum and respect for public representatives, the matter should be investigated seriously and appropriate action should be taken. BJP made it clear that any kind of compromise with the respect and democratic dignity of public representatives will not be acceptable.
