Lucknow. Emphasis is being laid on a new system to improve the quality of education and create better coordination among teachers in the council schools of Uttar Pradesh. Now monthly meetings of teachers' group will be organized regularly in primary and upper primary schools.
The State Project Director's Office has issued instructions to all the District Basic Education Officers (BSA) asking them to ensure arrangements for holding the meeting. As per the scheduled schedule, teachers' group meeting will be held on the third Tuesday of every month. For organizing the meeting, funds at the rate of Rs 250 will be provided to each teacher group.
Agenda will be decided before the meeting
To make the meeting more useful, teacher groups will discuss among themselves and decide the agenda beforehand. The responsibility of different subjects will also be divided among the teachers, so that every important issue can be discussed in detail in the meeting. Apart from this, on rotation basis, teachers will present the new teaching techniques, TLM and better educational activities being adopted in their class to other teachers.
Teachers will go to the homes of absent children
Special attention will also be given to increasing regular attendance of students in the meetings. For this, instructions have been given to run a door-to-door campaign. Teacher packages will visit the homes of children who are consistently absent from school. After talking to their parents, they will be motivated to send their children to school regularly. Its objective is to improve both the attendance and studies of children in schools.
Digital education will get a boost
Teachers will also be encouraged to make more use of the educational resources available online. In the meeting, there will be discussion on study of useful educational material available on Diksha, PM e-Vidya channel and YouTube and incorporating it in classroom teaching. With this, students will get an opportunity to learn through digital medium along with traditional studies.
Assessment will be done through Nipun Plus app
Emphasis has been laid on assessment through Nipun Plus app to test the learning ability of students. This will help in finding out the educational status of children and preparing teaching strategies as per the need. At the same time, under the Nipun Bharat Mission, arrangements will also be made to honor the teachers who perform better to encourage them.
