Rahul Gandhi Pune Visit: Permission granted for 'Students' Echo', but these 30 conditions will have to be followed

Pune: The Samvad Yatra 'Students' Echo' of Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is going to be organized in Pune, the cultural and educational capital of Maharashtra, on Saturday, 22 August 2026. Pune Police has given the green signal for this event, but has put 30 strict conditions before the organizers to maintain law and order and peace in the city. This dialogue will be held at the historic center of Pune, where Rahul Gandhi had also addressed a large public meeting during the 2024 general elections. Just before this Pune dialogue, Rahul Gandhi had sat on a dharna outside the Parliament Street police station after a student demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and the alleged use of pellet gun.

Ban on banners and ban on drones

The conditions imposed by the Pune Police on the organizers include a complete ban on the display of objectionable posters, banners or photographs.
Due to security and rules, use of drone cameras has also been banned at the venue. Strict instructions have been issued not to hurt any kind of religious or social sentiments.
