A very big and relieving news has come for lakhs of youth who want to make a career as a teacher or non-teaching staff in central schools. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has launched a new online platform ‘Samvida Sathi Portal’ to make the contract recruitment process transparent, modern and extremely easy. Till now candidates used to face the hassle of visiting each Vidyalaya in person or applying separately per school, but this new portal has put an end to all their problems.
What is a contract partner portal?
Samvida Sathi Portal is a centralized system developed by KVS for contractual teaching and non-teaching recruitment. Candidates now only have to go to this single portal and register themselves once and prepare their profile. Based on this profile they will be able to apply for vacancies in different Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country with a single click. As per the new rules, from the next academic year 2026-27, the old offline or school level separate registration system will be completely canceled and all contract recruitment will be allowed through this portal only.
Which positions will get job opportunities?
Candidates can apply for both academic and non-academic posts through this portal. It mainly includes posts like PGT (Post Graduate Teacher), TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher), PRT (Primary Teacher), Computer Instructor, Special Educator, Counsellor, Sports Coach, Yoga Teacher and Nurse. The educational qualification for these posts can range from 10th pass, 12th pass to graduation, post graduation, NET or even PhD.
Application Fee and Age Limit Conditions
Another big good news for the job seeking youth is that there is no fee charged by KVS to apply under this process. That means all category candidates can apply completely free. As for age limit, there is not same age limit for every post. The concerned Kendriya Vidyalaya will mention the age conditions and rules in its advertisement, so it is necessary to read the notification of that vacancy carefully before applying.
How will the selection process be?
The selection process is also kept very simple for the candidates. No type of competitive or written examination will be conducted for this recruitment. The school administration will check the online profile of the candidates and shortlist them. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for a direct walk-in interview and teaching demo. Finally, based on the performance of the candidate, a merit list will be prepared and appointment will be given as per requirement.
