Mumbai Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday said that a seven-member committee has been formed to investigate the fire incident in Amravati District Women’s Hospital. This committee has been given one week’s time to investigate. After the investigation committee’s report comes, strict action will be taken against those found guilty. The Chief Minister has announced assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the affected families.
Health Minister Prakash Ambitkar today visited Amravati District Women’s Hospital after the fire. After this he said that three children have died due to fire in the hospital. This incident is very sad. A committee has been formed under the chairmanship of State Health Commissioner Sanjay Katkar to investigate this incident. This committee will conduct a complete investigation within seven days and submit the report to the government. This committee will investigate the hospital from every angle. Anyone whose guilt is revealed after the investigation report will not be spared.
Ambitkar said that the three children who died in this incident. The Chief Minister has announced assistance of Rs 5 lakh to those families. Also, the treatment of newborn children injured in this incident will be done at government expense.
It is noteworthy that in the early hours of Monday, three children died and six were injured in a sudden fire in the child ward located on the third floor of the District Women’s Hospital located in Amravati district. After this incident, leaders of all political parties visited the hospital and demanded a thorough investigation into this incident. In view of this demand, the Health Minister has constituted a committee to investigate the matter.
