Lucknow : In the match played on Monday in the UP T-20 League season, Noida Kings registered a spectacular victory by defeating Gorakhpur Lions by 4 wickets. The hero of the team's victory was fast bowler Naman Tiwari, who took 6 wickets while bowling lethally.
Due to rain and wet outfield, this match was played of 18-18 overs. In the match played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Gorakhpur Lions, batting first, lost the entire team by scoring 112 runs in 17.5 overs. In reply, Noida Kings won the match by scoring 113 runs losing 6 wickets in 16.1 overs.
Naman Tiwari wreaked havoc
Naman Tiwari, who was a part of Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL and star of the Under-19 World Cup, did not give the Gorakhpur Lions batsmen a chance to survive with his brilliant bowling. Naman took 6 important wickets by giving just 13 runs in 3.5 overs without bowling any maiden. Due to his lethal bowling, the entire team of Gorakhpur Lions was reduced to 112 runs.
Naman gave initial shocks to the team by dismissing Abhay Pratap Singh (10) and captain Ayush Juyal (2). After this he sent batsmen like Shivam Sharma (3), Siddharth Yadav (18) and Ankit Chaudhary (14) to the pavilion.
Bad start for Gorakhpur Lions
