Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to three thousand 572 youth during a program organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Tuesday. In his address on this occasion, he said that in the last nine and a half years, his government has given government jobs to more than nine lakh youth of the state. In the next six months, one lakh youth of the state will be given government jobs.
Yogi said that we have to keep in mind that when we select the most qualified candidates without discrimination, the entire state benefits from it. The entire state seems to be taking advantage of his talent and energy and this is one of the important achievements of the double engine Bharatiya Janata Party government in the last 9-9.5 years.
He said that our government has succeeded in providing government jobs to more than nine lakh 30 thousand youth of Uttar Pradesh and no one can raise questions on even a single appointment. We have decided from day one that the practice which was there before 2017 will no longer continue. An advertisement for appointment was published and the uncle-nephew duo and the entire Mahabharata family used to set out across the state for recovery. The young man kept wandering, there was no result and ultimately the court had to stay the court. The time of our youth was wasted. People believed that these youth were worthless because they were not getting jobs. It was not the fault of the youth, it was the fault of those sitting in those commissions and boards and the corrupt system of the governments of that time. We had said on the first day that if this government is working under the policy of zero tolerance towards crime and criminals, then we will break the back of the counterfeiting mafia and the mafia sitting in various institutions and will also work to expose their masters to heaven and hell.
You must have seen that during this period we took action on a large scale. By confiscating the mafia’s property, getting it recovered and by completing the appointment process in a more transparent manner, we were successful in providing government jobs to more than nine lakh 30 thousand youth. Today, when I am connecting three and a half thousand agricultural technical assistants and market secretaries with this program of distribution of appointment letters, I am assuring the youth of the entire state that within the next six months the government is going to give appointment letters to one lakh youth.
We feel bad when a youth says that he has given the examination but the result is not yet available. We hold meetings of commissions and boards and tell them that they have given you so much freedom, bring the results on time. What used to happen earlier? You too must have studied in this state. There were UP Board exams. That took three months. It took three months to get results. Thus, six months in a year were wasted like this. The admission process for the next three months is different. Festivals and festivals are different. Children were not able to study even for three months. At that time the government did not leave the youth worthless. To gain cheap popularity, he had created an identity crisis before the youth of the state. For a moment the young man thought he was a well-wisher, but he was not. He was the enemy of the youth.
When I held the first meeting in 2017. I told him to do it for a month. He said it would not be possible. So I said leave the chair, I will get it done within a month. I will get it done within a month and today I am happy to tell you, I will get the UP Board exam done in 14 days and will also get the result in the next 14 days. 56 lakh candidates appear for that examination, 56 lakh children appear for it. I have also asked those in higher education to further limit the examination system. Examination should not be a medium to torture children. There should be a means of assessing it. Make it easy, make it simple, make it full of confidence.
Yogi said, remember, this Uttar Pradesh was called Bimaru state before 2017, it was Bimaru state. Youth were migrating, farmers were committing suicide. The daughter was facing a security crisis. The businessman was devastated by the mafia. The farmer was afraid to go to his field. If he had kept the motor in the field, he would not have known when it was stolen. This used to happen inside UP and today I am happy to tell that what is the result of the nine lakh 30 thousand youth of UP that we have given jobs inside UP? UP has benefited from that.
This youth has succeeded in raising Uttar Pradesh from a sick state and establishing Uttar Pradesh as the third economy of India. Today, no one steals a motor vehicle from the field of an Annadata farmer of UP. He knows that if someone steals, he will definitely become lame the next day.
The Chief Minister said that one week there was electricity during the day and one week there was electricity at night. That too three hours of electricity. What development will anyone do in this? We provide about 10 hours of electricity to the farmers of UP and also provide it for free. That means electricity is free in government tube wells. On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Minister of State Sardar Baldev Singh Olakh, Principal Secretary Ravindra Kumar and others were present.
