During a townhall program organized in Goa, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has made a direct attack on the Modi government regarding Ethanol Blended Petrol (E20). He made a big claim saying that if E20 petrol is not withdrawn within five days of the formation of AAP government in Goa, he will leave politics forever.
'Break BJP's ego, E20 will be back in 5 days'
Kejriwal made a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party and said that the party has become arrogant that the public will vote for them in any situation and the government will be formed by them. Appealing to the public, he said that this time they should try to defeat BJP in the elections. Kejriwal said, “Election results will come on March 10 and if BJP loses in Goa and Uttar Pradesh, then E20 will be back by March 15. In Goa, 87% people are upset because of E20. Here 87% people own two-wheelers and 47% people own four-wheelers.” He said that if everyone decides not to vote for BJP, then this decision will be reversed in 5 days.
'E20 petrol is ruining your car's engine'
The former Chief Minister of Delhi said that many people of Goa think that E20 petrol is not being put in their vehicles, but this is not true. The truth is being hidden from them. Now pure petrol has stopped being available in the country and only E20 is available at petrol pumps. He claimed, “The mileage of your vehicle is continuously decreasing because you are using E20. I wrote letters and spoke on phone to 29 automobile companies. Officials of 9 of these companies, on the condition of anonymity, agreed that E20 is a very dangerous fuel for vehicles, especially for vehicles manufactured before 2023.” He alleged that companies are not able to come forward openly due to fear of Central Government, ED, CBI and Income Tax.
Sugar becomes expensive because of E20?
Earlier, Kejriwal had alleged that sugar prices have increased in the country due to E20 petrol. He said that sugarcane equivalent to about 25 lakh tonnes of sugar has been diverted to make ethanol. However, the central government has rejected these claims of the opposition. The government clearly says that there is sufficient stock of sugar available in the country and the industry is responsible for the fluctuations in prices.
