Lucknow. Monsoon seems to be active once again in Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain in many parts of the state. Especially in eastern UP, the weather is likely to be more active on Wednesday. There may be rain and thundershowers in many districts, while there is a risk of heavy rainfall in some areas.
More impact in Purvanchal
According to the Meteorological Department, rainy season may continue in many districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy rain with heavy rain in the surrounding areas including Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Azamgarh and Sonbhadra. Heavy rain may also occur at some places. On Tuesday also good rain was recorded in many parts of Purvanchal. Due to this, there was a drop in temperature and people got relief from heat and humidity.
Chances of rain in Lucknow also
There is a possibility of cloudy sky throughout the day in the capital Lucknow on Wednesday. The Meteorological Department has indicated several rounds of rain and thundershowers. On Tuesday also, light to moderate rain occurred in different parts of the city. Due to rain and clouds, the temperature of Lucknow is not expected to rise much. The maximum temperature recorded here on Tuesday was around 30.4 degrees Celsius, which was below normal.
There will be less rain in western UP
The effect of monsoon may be slightly weaker in western Uttar Pradesh as compared to Purvanchal. However, there is a possibility of rain or showers along with thunder at some places. The Meteorological Department has indicated that monsoon activities will continue in the state in the coming days also.
