The Harappa weavers came to Nepal from Tibet. By 9 am on Wednesday morning, the water level of Votekoshi river had risen alarmingly and washed away a large area of Rasuba district. Village after village went under the water. Many houses, bridges, vehicles have been washed away. 9 policemen on duty in Timur, bordering Tibet, have gone missing. The situation is so dire that helicopters have been brought down for rescue operations.
It is known that this disaster started in Tibet. Due to flash flood, there is destruction in Rasua district. At the time of the incident, many policemen who were in charge of security at the border of Timor fell under the grip of this Harpa ban. According to officials, 25-30 people were rescued from the border post after the incident but 9 could not be contacted. What state they are in is still unclear. Rescue work has already started. Meanwhile, many houses and vehicles were washed away in Timur and Safrubesi areas due to heavy water. A bridge was also swept away by the water.

In this serious situation, the administration has rushed to rescue. Residents along the river banks have been advised to be vigilant. Residents along the banks of the Trishuli River, including the Muglin area, have been advised to evacuate. Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah has ordered the army, police and rescue teams to start rescue operations in the flood-hit areas of Rasua. Additional security personnel have been sent from other districts to the affected areas.
