More than 133 Indians have gone missing in the severe floods in Nepal. No one is able to contact them. Many villages and towns have been washed away due to sudden floods in Rasuwa district bordering Tibet in the neighboring country. Nepal floods have increased the danger in India. There is a possibility of flood in Kosi and Gandak rivers of Bihar. 11 hydro power plants of Nepal have been washed away, more than 19 bridges have been destroyed. More than 400 people are missing in Nepal.
Due to Nepal floods, India's Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has alerted all the units near the 1751 km long India-Nepal international border. 18 teams of SSB have been deployed for rescue and relief operations in the border areas. This alert of SSB has been issued amid the forecast of increase in water flow in Kosi and Narayani river basins and the possibility of sudden floods in small rivers of Nepal.

Where is there danger in India?
The sensitive districts of Ghaghra, Karnali and Mahakali river systems in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand may be under threat. There is high alert in Maharajganj and Kushinagar of Uttar Pradesh. The danger has also increased in West Champaran, East Champaran, Saran and Vaishali. The water level of Gandak-Naraini river may increase. How did the tragedy occur?
According to Nepalese officials, the flood coming from the Tibetan side rose rapidly in the Bhote Koshi river around 9 am, affecting Rasuwa and Dhading districts adjacent to Tibet and Nuwakot district, south-west of Kathmandu.

What loss has Nepal suffered?
