In view of the severe flood and natural disaster in the neighboring country Nepal, the Uttar Pradesh government and the Relief Commissioner's office are on full alert mode. To ensure safety and prompt assistance to the citizens of Uttar Pradesh stranded in different parts of Nepal, the state government has released the state level emergency helpline number.

Let us tell you, Uttar Pradesh Relief Commissioner's Office has appealed to the families of citizens stranded in Nepal to immediately contact toll free helpline number 1070 for any kind of assistance, information or location sharing. On the basis of information received through this control room, the process of safely evacuating citizens will be expedited in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs and local relief agencies.

The state government has given instructions to keep the control room active 24 hours, where the disaster management team is continuously monitoring the situation. Family members have been requested to provide their information to the authorities without any delay if any of their members is stranded in the flood affected areas of Nepal so that necessary help can be provided in time.
