Technology Desk: There is good news for online game players. Pre-registration of BGMI Lite has started for Android users. However, Krafton India has not yet given official information about the launch date of the game. The game is expected to launch in India by the end of this year.

BGMI Lite is being prepared for phones with less storage and lower specifications. Its initial download size is said to be around 1GB, which is much less than regular BGMI.
It may get low resolution graphics and some other optimizations, so that the game can run smoothly even on low powered phones. However, these features have not been officially confirmed yet.
Good news for old BGMI players
If you already play BGMI, there will be no need to create a new account for BGMI Lite. However, full details on how old game items and your game progress will work in the Lite version have not been revealed yet. At present pre-registration has not started for iPhone users. The company has also not revealed the date of pre-registration on iOS.
How to pre-register for BGMI Lite
Open Google Play Store in your Android phone.
Search by typing BGMI Lite in the search bar.
Open the game's official listing.
Be sure to check the publisher's information.
Tap on Pre-registration.
After this follow the instructions given on the screen.
If the option of Automatic Installation appears, you can turn it on or off as per your need.
Google Play Store can install it automatically after the game is launched if Automatic Installation is turned on, if there is enough storage on the phone.
Beware of fake APK
Do not download APK from any unknown website in the name of BGMI Lite. Before the launch of the game, fake websites and fake apps may appear. These can be harmful for your phone and personal information. So use only the official Google Play Store listing for pre-registration.
Why is BGMI Lite being launched?
The aim of BGMI Lite is to make the game accessible to players who have old or low-powered smartphones. Regular BGMI can put more strain on the phone's hardware at better graphics and higher frame rates. The Lite version can be an option to provide a better gaming experience on low-end phones. This is being considered as the next Lite version of BGMI's journey in India after PUBG Mobile.
