Vice President CP Radhakrishnan is on a tour of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep today i.e. from August 29 to August 31. In this sequence, the Vice President reached HAL Airport in Bengaluru on Saturday. He was welcomed here.
Vice President of India said in a post on social media platform X that Vice President CP Radhakrishnan was warmly welcomed at HAL Airport in Bengaluru today.
Karnataka Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Rizwan Arshad, MP Lahar Singh Siroya and other dignitaries welcomed the Vice President at the airport. The Vice President will attend the birth centenary celebrations of Ramakrishna Hegde at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru today.
During the three-day visit, the Vice President will participate in a number of programs including education, public service, cultural heritage, industry-academia collaboration, fisheries-related awareness programs and major public functions. The Vice President will attend the Founder's Day celebrations of Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust-KVIT in Erode, Tamil Nadu on August 29.
Later in the day, the Vice President will leave for Bengaluru, where he will be the chief guest at the centenary celebrations of former Karnataka Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde at Vidhana Soudha.
The Vice President will visit Kerala on August 30. CP Radhakrishnan's tour will begin from Alappuzha where he will participate in the 115th anniversary celebrations of Kerala Kaumudi at Leo Higher Secondary School.
After this the Vice President will go to Pathanamthitta, where he will inaugurate the Aranmula Water Festival 2026. Radhakrishnan will later travel to Thiruvananthapuram, where he will inaugurate a festival related to Onam, a major cultural festival of Kerala.
The Vice President will visit Agatti, Lakshadweep on August 31, where he will be the chief guest at an event organized by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
On his return to Kerala, CP Radhakrishnan will attend the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology-RSET and the Confluence 3.0 Industry-Academia Summit at RSET Auditorium, Kakkanad, Kochi.
