Priyanka demanded action under SC/ST Act

Priyanka Gandhi alleged that the cleaning of the stage after the rally of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is condemnable and shameful. He called it a serious violation of the Constitution and SC/ST Act. The Congress leader demanded that an FIR be registered against those responsible for the incident and action be taken under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Prevention of Atrocities Act. Priyanka says that about 20 days have passed since the incident, but no concrete action has been taken till now.

Rahul Gandhi has also raised questions

Earlier on Saturday, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi had also raised this issue during the press conference. Linking the alleged purification of the platform with untouchability, he raised questions on the ideology of BJP-RSS. Rahul Gandhi said that justice should be done to the Congress President and FIR should be registered against those responsible for the incident. He demanded the Central and State Government to ensure action in the matter.

Serious allegations made against BJP

Rahul Gandhi alleged that such an incident reflects the thinking which is against giving respect and equal rights to Dalits. He also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's claim in which he talks about respect for all castes. Congress leaders have demanded clear action from the government in this matter, saying that the right to equality and respect has been given to all citizens in the Constitution. In such a situation, action should be taken against those responsible for the alleged purification incident as per law.

At present, political rhetoric has intensified between Congress and BJP regarding this matter. Congress is continuously demanding action under FIR and SC/ST Act, while everyone is keeping an eye on the further situation in the case.
