Aether Konark is the first scooter built on the scooter brand’s new ‘EL’ platform. The scooter is currently available in three different battery pack options, including 2.1 kWh, 2.7 kWh and 3.5 kWh batteries. This gives a certified range of 100 km, 125 km and 161 km respectively. Besides, the company is planning to launch another new variant in 2027 with a range of 200 km.
Suspension of this scooter is provided by Showa telescopic forks at the front and side-mounted shock absorbers at the rear, providing 100mm of wheel travel. It features 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheels, which makes driving on rough roads very easy. Talking about the braking system, the top-end variants get a 220 mm disc brake at the front and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear with CBS (Combined Braking System), while the base S 100 model gets drum brakes on both sides.
Coming to the features, the S125 and S161 variants get a 7-inch LCD console, while the base model gets a 4-inch unit. The Bajaj Chetak C3501 has been given a neo-retro design, with its rounded body panels giving it a very premium and family-friendly look. It gets full-LED lighting and a large underseat storage space of 35 litres. Also, a 5-litre enclosed glovebox space has been provided on the apron for daily use, which is very practical.
The scooter is powered by a 3.5 kWh battery, which claims a range of 153 km on a single charge. Its maximum speed is 80 km per hour. It gets single-side linked front suspension and single rear shock absorber. For braking, it has a 200 mm disc brake at the front and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear.
