Hal Chhath is a festival which is celebrated on the Shashti Tithi of Bhadon month. Similarly, this year also this festival will be celebrated in the month of September. This festival is celebrated to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna's elder brother Balram. After that it will end on September 3 at 4:25 am. The sunrise date of this festival is 2nd September, so it is auspicious to celebrate the festival on this day. Chhathi Mata is especially worshiped during Chhath festival. To worship Chhathi Mai, an idol is made from cow dung at home. Seven grains are offered as offerings. Among the seven grains, wheat, barley, paddy, gram dal, beans, arhar dal and moong dal should be offered.

There are many auspicious times on the day of Hal Chhath festival. The most auspicious time starts from 10:45 am till 12:21 am. Apart from this, on every Chhath festival, a person should avoid doing any auspicious work during Rahukaal. According to religious experts, Rahukaal will last from 12:21 pm to 1:56 pm.
Amrit Muhurta- It will be from 7:35 to 9:10 in the morning.
Auspicious time-It will last from 10:45 to 12:21 noon.
Chara Samaj Muhurat- It will be from 3:31 to 5:06 in the evening.
Profit-Progress Muhurat– Will be from 5:06 to 6:42.

According to religious beliefs, nothing plowed should be eaten on this day. According to religious belief, Balram ji is the symbol of plough. For this reason, things plowed with the plow are not eaten on Hal Chhath. Those who are observing fruit fast can eat makhana and water chestnuts. Apart from this, people should avoid eating garlic and onion a day before the festival.
