Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) had given a call for march in Delhi on 5th September but now after the assurance of the Central Government, it has withdrawn this call. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said during the hearing in the Supreme Court that the central government is committed to fulfill all the three assurances made to CJP leaders after the students' protest. Along with this, the Supreme Court has canceled the FIR registered against all the protesters. After this CJP has withdrawn the call for the proposed march.
CJP's chief spokesperson Saurav Das appeared in the Supreme Court and said that in view of the steps taken by the Central Government to withdraw the cases registered against the students who took part in the protest at Jantar Mantar, CJP has withdrawn the call for the proposed march on September 5. Chief Justice Surya Kant said that if both the parties show good spirit and positive attitude, then everything can be resolved.

What did the Center say?
Cockroach Janata Party had accused the central government of not canceling the cases registered against the protesters and had given a call for a march against it on September 5. Cockroach Janata Party was scheduled to march from India Gate in Delhi to Delhi Police Headquarters on 5 September. Meanwhile, the Central Government told the Supreme Court that the government is fulfilling all the three promises made to the CJP. On behalf of the Central Government, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the Supreme Court that the Central Government is committed to fulfilling the three promises made to the CJP leaders.
What are the three assurances?
- The central government will not take further action on the FIRs registered between July 20 and 25.
- No new FIR will be registered regarding this matter.
- The government will provide compensation to the families of students who committed suicide in cases allegedly related to the NEET paper leak.

Court canceled FIR
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the Supreme Court regarding the cases filed against students that it is possible that cases may be filed in some states. He appealed to the Supreme Court to use Article 142 to cancel all the FIRs related to July 20. He told the court that using Article 142, the Supreme Court should issue an order to cancel the FIR. Along with this, he has asked for three months time to pay compensation. CJP has agreed to this and after this Saurabh Das withdrew the call for the proposed march on 5th September. The Supreme Court has canceled FIRs registered against all the protesters in Delhi and other parts of the country on the appeal of the Centre.
