Mumbai: Aneet Padda is set to explore a darker, more challenging role in the upcoming thriller series ‘Hunkkaar’.

The ‘Saiyaara’ actor plays an assault survivor in the series, which was filmed before her breakout success in the Mohit Suri directorial.

The teaser, which was unveiled on Tuesday, offers a glimpse into Aneet’s intense character and hints at a gripping story of trauma, survival and the search for justice.

The teaser begins with Aneet’s character Meenu Rawat at a police station, where she introduces herself as a 17-year-old student at Baapji’s Shaburi Fort in Mahasherni School. She then makes a disturbing allegation, claiming that she was assaulted by Baapji.

Fatima Sana Shaikh steps into the role of a police inspector tasked with investigating the case, with the teaser hinting at a deeper mystery surrounding Baapji.

The series also features Ram Kapoor, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, Arjun Mathur and Zoya Hussain in key roles.

Sharing the teaser, Aneet wrote, “Presenting a little something I shot before Saiyaara. Hunkkaar has been a part of my journey for a while, and I’m glad to finally share it with you all.”
