On Monday, Tovino turned to his Instagram Stories to deliver a stark message, emblazoned in all caps: “IMPORTANT NOTICE – IMPERSONATION ALERT.” He shared, “Someone is impersonating me and falsely using my identity to send emails to multiple people.” The fraudster’s email address, tovinothomas79@gmail.comis not affiliated with Tovino in any way. “Please be aware,” the actor emphasized, “I have not authorized anyone to use this email to communicate on my behalf.”
He advised, “I strongly request everyone to not respond, share any personal information, click on links, make payments, or act upon any requests received from this email ID.” Tovino urged his fans to report any emails from this address as spam or phishing and to delete them immediately.
“To avoid being a victim of this impersonation, kindly forward this information to anyone who may have received such emails,” he requested, underscoring the importance of vigilance and verifying the source before responding to any communication claiming to be from him.
