Akshay Oberoi praises ‘Toxic’, says Indians should be proud of Yash’s film

Akshay Oberoi has come forward to praise Yash’s film Toxic despite the film receiving criticism for its unique portrayal.

The actor, known for his antagonistic role in Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, spoke highly of the film and highlighted why he believes the team should be proud of what they have created.

In an exclusive interview with SCREEN, Akshay said, “You give attention to everything, but how much attention you give to it is the only difference.

“Let’s see how the film keeps performing. Largely, it’s for the public to debate now. We have given our best. I think we made this beautiful spectacle, something that Indians across the world should be proud of. It’s bold cinema. The film is being watched in such large numbers that there are so many commentaries around it.”

Released on June 19, 2026, Toxic stars Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair in key roles.
