Sudhir Dalvi returned home from hospital
Sudhir Dalvi is now back home from the hospital and is slowly recovering. His wife told in a conversation with ‘Bollyspice’ that the actor still takes the help of a walker to walk. His mental condition has not completely returned to normal after the illness, but the happiness of returning home is the biggest thing for him.
Suhas Dalvi said that staying in the hospital for a long time was not only financially difficult, but the hospital environment could also be very stressful and scary for the patient. The family has got some relief after returning home.
When it became difficult to pay medical bills, the industry extended a helping hand
According to Sudhir Dalvi’s wife, when the news came out that the family was finding it difficult to pay the ever-increasing hospital bills, many people from the film industry provided financial assistance.
He further told that many Bollywood actors came forward to help him financially. He said, “When the news spread that we were not able to pay the hospital bill, many people from the film industry came forward for financial help. I can’t remember everyone’s names immediately, but Kartik Aryan, Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar were among the first to help. Many people from the film industry and beyond also came to help. My husband is known for playing the character of Sai Baba, so a lot of Sai devotees also came forward to help. Who says people are stone hearted? The love and generosity of people during my husband’s illness was truly heart-touching.”
The cost of treatment reached around Rs 10 lakh
According to reports, Sudhir Dalvi was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after a serious infection in October 2025. The infection also affected his joints and ability to walk, due to which he had to stay in ICU for a long time.
The cost of treatment had reached around Rs 10 lakh and it was further feared that this amount would exceed Rs 15 lakh. In December 2025, Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust also reportedly provided financial assistance of Rs 11 lakh for the treatment of Sudhir Dalvi.
At present Sudhir Dalvi is at home and recovering. After a serious illness, his health is gradually improving and the family is standing with him in this difficult period.
