Delhi Alwar RRTS Corridor: A very good news has emerged for the people traveling from Delhi to Rajasthan. The Rajasthan government has intensified its preparations for the Delhi-Gurugram-Rewari-Alwar Regional Rapid Transit System i.e. RRTS corridor. Now the day is not far when the journey between Delhi and industrial cities of Rajasthan will be completed in minutes instead of hours. On Wednesday, a big meeting was called under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant inside the Government Secretariat in the capital Jaipur. The main objective of this meeting was to consider the supplementary detailed project report of the project and take it forward as soon as possible. On the basis of the report received from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs of the Central Government, every aspect related to the in-principle approval given by the State Government was discussed in detail.
Officials received instructions to work quickly
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed all the concerned departments to work in coordination. He clearly said that the supplementary report should be sent for necessary approval as soon as possible. After completing the necessary procedures at the state level, its in-principle approval should be immediately sent to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. The Chief Secretary believes that this rail network is not just a means of transportation for people. This entire track has the power to change the economic picture of the entire region. While this will provide relief to common travelers from traffic jams, industries and business activities will also get a new impetus.
Complete route of 129 kilometers and part of Rajasthan
Starting from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi and going to Behrod, this modern railway track of total length of 129.05 kilometers is to be built. This entire route will include a stretch of 25.16 kilometers within the border of Rajasthan. A plan has been prepared to build four big elevated stations in the Rajasthan area for the convenience of passengers. These stations will be connected to major places like Shahjahanpur, Neemrana and Behrod. Due to its direct connection with the National Capital Region, this entire area is on the way to become a big commercial hub in the future. This rapid rail will prove to be no less than a boon for the employees, businessmen and local residents working in Neemrana and Behrod.
Rs 7,747 crore will be spent on the project
It has come to light that the estimated cost of completing the Bawal to Behroad section of this important scheme will be around Rs 7,747 crore. Talking about the financial structure, Rs 5,167.28 crore has been fixed as the basic cost of construction. Apart from this, a provision of about Rs 640 crore has been made for land acquisition and Rs 1,861 crore for enterprise fund. During the meeting, serious discussions were also held on the financial burden on the government, expenditure in a phased manner and better management of money. The responsibility of gathering the necessary resources to implement this scheme has been entrusted to the District Collector of Kotputli-Behrod and the Chief Executive Officer of BIDA.
Partnership between two states will open the way for progress
To implement the project, better coordination is necessary between Rajasthan and Haryana. It has been proposed that both the states jointly bear the total cost of the Bawal portion up to the border of Rajasthan and Haryana. Along with this, the draft of the MoU sent by the Haryana Government was also discussed in the meeting. The state government is now in a mood to complete all the approvals without any delay and send its final consent to the Centre. In the coming time, this RRTS corridor is going to open new doors of development by connecting the major industrial areas of Rajasthan with the country's capital.
