Royal Enfield has once again introduced the iconic motorcycle that started its adventure-touring journey in a new form. To mark exactly 10 years since the launch of the original Himalayan, the new Himalayan 440 has been launched in India at a price of ₹2.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike was unveiled during the first 'Himalayan Basecamp' event in Ladakh and bookings for it have started from September 4, 2026.
New design and look
Visually, the design of Himalayan 440 has been kept similar to the original Himalayan. It features a tall stance, round headlamps, large 24-inch front wheel, spoke wheels and rugged bodywork. A special badge has been placed on the fuel tank of early models to mark the 10th anniversary. The bike will be available in three attractive colors – Sela Black, Mustang Brown and Nelong White.

Powerful engine and performance
The bike is powered by a 443 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, long-stroke engine that produces 25.4 bhp of power at 6,250 rpm and 34 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is mated to a new 6-speed gearbox, which makes driving in traffic and cruising on highways much easier. In addition, the vibrations and noise of the engine are reduced, making long journeys more comfortable.
Chassis and off-roading capabilities
The bike uses a half-duplex split-cradle frame with 41 mm telescopic forks (200 mm travel) at the front and a linkage-type monoshock (180 mm travel) rear suspension. 220 mm ground clearance with 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels makes this bike perform well on rough roads and dirt tracks.

Easy and convenient travel
With 800 mm seat height, 199 kg weight and 15 liter fuel tank, this bike is very easy to ride. Along with this, an option of official accessories like panniers, top box, touring seats and handguards has also been made available.
