New Delhi. The case of assault on activist Nishu Azad's father Sanjay Kumar during the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) demonstration at Jantar Mantar has once again gained prominence. CJP has demanded the arrest of social media influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj. It is alleged that Bhardwaj had allegedly confessed to attacking the father of a person who was protesting at Jantar Mantar last month.

CJP leader Saurav Das and national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka reached Parliament Street Police Station in New Delhi demanding justice for their worker Nishu Azad and his father Sanjay. During this time Nishu Azad also reached the police station. CJP Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das told the media that when their peaceful protest was going on at Jantar Mantar, violence took place there. He alleged that this criminal gang has already been carrying out violence in Delhi.
Saurav Das's allegations against Delhi Police
Saurav Das said that a minor girl has been associated with our protest since the first day. His father Sanjay ji also comes with him. While we were holding a peaceful protest, some people from a criminal gang entered our protest and started violence. Even after the FIR was registered, we maintained pressure on the police. We said it was an attempt to murder and the relevant section should be added. We also demanded imposition of SC/ST Act as he belongs to Dalit family. There is also an aspect of caste in this matter. But the police did not take any such step. When we put pressure on the police, they asked us to go to court and get the order.
He said, why these people are roaming freely in Delhi for so long is beyond our understanding. Delhi Police was repeatedly saying that more than 2,800 serious criminals have been identified at Jantar Mantar, so why are you trying to give this exemption to those people? We said that those 2,800 criminals should be identified and if they have committed any serious crime then you should take action against them and put them in jail. Has law and order become so weak in Delhi? Delhi Police should answer.

What did Ashutosh Ranka say?
At the same time, CJP National Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said that during the protest at Jantar Mantar, his colleague Nishu's father Sanjay Azad was beaten up and his head was broken. This incident happened openly. Ashutosh Ranka said that our team and Sourav kept demanding from Delhi Police to arrest these goons and charge them with attempt to murder but Delhi Police kept sleeping. Now the situation in the country's capital has become such that goons are openly confessing that they broke Sanjay's head and their best effort was to kill him.
He said that the accused himself is confessing that a case of attempt to murder was made against him but Delhi Police did not do anything with that person. Today is a shameful day for the country and democracy where a hooligan openly claims that he tried to kill someone but no action is taken against him. CJP has demanded that those who have revealed their identities should be arrested and all serious sections including attempt to murder should be imposed on them.

Besides, he also said that no major legal action would be taken against him due to political influence.
