After a successful first innings, Skoda has relaunched its popular performance sedan, the Octavia vRS, in the Indian market. Skoda has launched the sedan at Rs 56.69 lakh, ex-showroom, which is Rs 6.70 lakh more expensive than the first batch. The second batch is limited to 50 units, and deliveries of the Octavia vRS will start next week.

The Skoda Octavia RS gained popularity among enthusiasts for its clean, four-door, practical design and the powerful engine under the bonnet. The second batch of the Octavia RS is available in Mamba Green, Velvet Red and Magic Black shades. The sedan, like the first batch, comes with Full LED Matrix headlights, LED tail lamps with dynamic indicators, glossy black trims and 19-inch Elias Anthracite alloy wheels with 225/40 R19 sports tyres. The bumper on the Octavia RS has been redesigned to look slightly sportier compared to the regular version.
The sedan measures 4,709 mm in length, 1,829 mm in width and 1,457 mm in height. It also offers a wheelbase of 2,677 mm. As mentioned above, this is a practical four-door sedan, which means you can seat four people comfortably and carry luggage in the large 600-litre boot space. The boot space can be expanded up to 1,555 litres if needed.
The Octavia RS offers performance without compromising on premium features. The cabin of the Octavia RS is finished in an all-black shade. The car gets Suedia leather upholstery with red contrast stitching, electrically adjustable sports front seats with memory, heating and massage functions, ambient lighting and a Virtual Cockpit. Three-zone climate control, wireless charging and a 32.77-cm infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also offered.
Skoda is also offering an advanced ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Assist and Intelligent Park Assist. Safety and convenience are further enhanced by 10 airbags, a 360-degree Area View camera, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, a Head-Up Display, driving stability systems, a Canton 675W 11-speaker sound system with a subwoofer, an electrically operated boot with a virtual pedal and a host of Simply Clever features.
The engine on the Octavia RS is the same 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that generates 265 PS and 370 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 6.4 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250 kmph. It also comes with progressive steering, sports suspension and an advanced chassis setup that sharpens handling and makes every drive more engaging.
