Payal/Ludhiana- During the 'Sakhi Samman Ceremony' organized at Halka Payal, the women-friendly policies and public welfare schemes of the Bhagwant Singh Mann government of Punjab were highly appreciated. More than 1200 Sakhis participated enthusiastically in the function. The main objective of the program was to honor the special role played by Sakhis in taking the Punjab Government's 'Mavan-Dhiyan Satkaryogya Yojana' to every household of the state.
Addressing the function, Payal constituency MLA Engineer Manvinder Singh Giaspura mentioned the historic achievements of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He said that whatever promise the Aam Aadmi Party government makes to the public, it is implemented in every situation. In Punjab too, the government has fulfilled all its promises, which is the first time in the history of any government till date.
Giving detailed information about the financial assistance being given for the economic empowerment of women, Giyaspura said that the government has given a lump sum installment of Rs 3000 for three months to the general category women at the rate of Rs 1000 per month. At the rate of Rs 1500 per month, a total amount of Rs 4500 has been sent directly into their bank accounts for three months to women belonging to Scheduled Caste category. MLA Gyaspura clarified that this financial assistance will continue without any hindrance in the coming times, so that women can become financially self-reliant.
Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, who specially participated in the function, in her address praised the hard work and dedication of the Sakhis. He said that the Sakhis of Punjab have worked like the backbone in taking government schemes to the grassroots level. We are deeply grateful to each friend. He went door-to-door and registered as 'Bhagwant Maan', as a result of which today the amount has directly reached the accounts of the women.
Mayor Inderjit Kaur assured that just as the Sakhis have fulfilled their responsibilities honestly, the government will also give them bigger responsibilities in the coming times based on their qualifications and capabilities. Sharing her personal experience and party's vision, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur said that for the first time in Punjab, a government has come which has given equal opportunity to women in politics and society. She said that she can never repay the debt of honor that Aam Aadmi Party has given her by making her the mayor of a metropolis like Ludhiana.
He claimed that this record-breaking gathering in Payal and the enthusiasm of women clearly shows that the people of the state are very happy with the functioning of the Mann government and in the year 2027, the Aam Aadmi Party government will once again be formed with full majority. At the end of the ceremony, all the Sakhis present reiterated their commitment to take the public welfare schemes of the Punjab Government to every needy. This ceremony organized in Payal emerged as a visible example of successful coordination of women empowerment and government policies.
