New Delhi: The National Testing Agency has issued admit cards for the UGC-NET June 2026 re-test in English, Commerce and Sociology, fixed for September 9 and 10 across test centres nationwide.
Aspirants can fetch their admit cards, along with the mandatory undertaking, from the official portal ugcnet.nta.nic.in by logging in with their credentials.
Exam-Day Instructions
Candidates have been urged to go through the guidelines printed on the admit card to steer clear of last-minute hassles. The advisory covers reporting time, dress code, permitted items and other crucial do’s and don’ts for the exam day, as reported by NDTV.
Should candidates face trouble downloading the admit card or spot any mismatch in the details printed on it, they are to reach the NTA helpdesk at 011-40759000 or email ugcnet@nta.ac.in.
City Slips, Results & Grounds For Re-Test
The testing body had already intimated examinees about their test city and date through an Advance City Intimation Slip released on September 1.
On August 28, the NTA announced results for 84 of the 87 subjects held under the June 2026 cycle.
The re-examination for English, Commerce and Sociology was ordered after the agency received a slew of complaints about multiple flaws in the question papers.
A committee set up to probe the allegations found the three papers riddled with factual, typographical and translation mistakes—ranging from misspelled names of leading scholars and botched book titles to errors in question stems, grammar, gender/number agreement, punctuation and the use of non-standard coined terms for established concepts. It also noted that a sizeable number of questions had been lifted from earlier editions of the exam.
On that basis, the panel advised that the three papers be re-conducted to ensure a fair, error-free assessment.
