Thiruvananthapuram. Congress MLA from Scheduled Caste in Kerala, Ramya Haridas, has accused party workers of beating her in Chirayinkeezhu in Thiruvananthapuram district. According to Ramya Haridas, this incident happened on Friday night. The woman MLA has told that after getting injured in the beating, she went to Chirayinkeezhu Taluk Hospital and got treatment. The Congress MLA alleges that local party leaders threatened and attacked him. By releasing a video, BJP has targeted Congress by accusing it of attack on the Scheduled Caste MLA.

It is being told that the dispute between Ramya and Congress leaders is related to the participation of Congress MLA's PA Palayam Pradeep in the Block Panchayat Committee meeting. At the same time, Congress leader Sajjad alleged that Ramya Haridas and her colleagues argued over a post on WhatsApp and then a scuffle broke out. Sajjad also claimed that the MLA's PA is Vimal. Whereas, Congress MLA Ramya Haridas told the media that recently bank elections were held in the area. In this election, Congress members contested from three different panels. According to Haridas, he had refused to join the panel because he did not support any group.
Ramya Haridas alleges that Sajjad made continuous comments against her on WhatsApp and other social media platforms. When Sajjad was asked about this, he said that he had made the comments at the behest of Sajith and Vishwanathan. Sajjad called him to his house to discuss this matter. According to Ramya, Sajit threatened that she would not be able to go back the way she had come. Whereas, Sajjad says that Ramya had forcibly taken him home from the shop. Police have registered a case against Congress workers including Sajit and Sajjad on the complaint of Ramya Haridas in this matter. Kerala Congress has also decided to investigate the matter.
