the fountain: National Sports Day was celebrated in Goenka College from 29th August to 2nd September. Berar General Education Society President Adv. Motisinhji Mohta, Honorary Secretary Dr. Pawanji Maheshwari and College Prof. Dr. Pradeep Yewle was present. On the occasion of National Sports Day, the Sports Week organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Education in memory of Major Dhyan Chand was inaugurated by the Supervisor of the Junior College. Deepti Dani took over. At this time Dr. Atul Mahale, Prof. Deepali Taide and Prof. Shashikant Nandgaonkar was present. The dignitaries guided the students. During the sports week, chess, basketball, volleyball and various outdoor competitions were organized. Danish Reghiwale became the winner in the chess tournament.

In basketball, the team of Ansar Reghiwale, Riyaz Chaudhary, Sameer Naurangabadi and Tausin Munniwale won the title. The team of Om Karade, Ahmed Khetiwale, Wasim Fakirawale, Fardeen Dargewale, Tausin Munniwale and Rehan Khetiwale won in volleyball. The competition was organized by the sports department. Anjali Barde and Prof. Shashikant Nandgaonkar, College Superintendent Manoj Rathod, Prof. Manoj Pawar, Prof. Mukund Kale, Dr. Sunil Rathod, etc. were present.
Kapil, Samrat, Fardeen win in running race
In the outdoor events, Kapil Waraghat of Class XII won the first position and Tauseef Beniwale the second position in the 100m race in the boys category. In the girls' category, Komal Parde stood first, while Sanskriti Torse stood second. Samrat Borkar came first and Tauseef Beniwale came second in the 200m race. In 400m, Kapil Waraghat came first and Arsul second. Fardeen Darge won the first place in the 1500m race. In shot put, Tohseef Naurangabadi stood first, while Tausif Beniwale stood second.
