Asaduddin Owaisi wrote on social media X, the mosque in Saharanpur Collectorate was demolished at 5 am today. Is there no longer any constitutional right to religious freedom left for Muslims? Why are our places of worship repeatedly bulldozed in the name of weak and fabricated reasons?
The Mosque Committee tried to prove that this mosque existed before the Collectorate by presenting documents of 1911 in the court. Namaz has been taking place continuously there for more than a century. This means that this is not a building erected today, but has been used as a place of worship for a long time. This is the foundation of Waqf by user, which has also been recognized in law.

He further wrote, and the same principle of the Limitation Act is that the government suddenly ignores the more than a century old, open and continuous occupation of a land and one day wakes up and says that now this land is ours. When there has been open and continuous occupation for more than a century, how can the state believe that the occupation started yesterday? Even if we accept the government's argument, the question of adverse possession will definitely arise after such a long period of occupation.
Owaisi said, the mosque was first, the collectorate came later. Some people may feel uncomfortable even after seeing a mosque. But this is their issue, not ours. If you want to look away then do so. But we cannot bulldoze our mosque to satisfy our anger. My religious freedom is not at your mercy.
