Know what are the conditions of BCCI… To become Chief Selector, a candidate must have completed at least 5 years of retirement from all formats of cricket. The candidate should have the experience of playing at least 7 test matches or 30 first class matches or 10 ODI and 20 first class matches. The candidate must not have been a member of any committee of BCCI for more than 5 years in total.
Only the candidate who fulfills all these conditions can become the selector of Team India. The selected selector cannot be directly associated with any IPL franchise, media house or cricket academy.
