The video showing this fully modified Volkswagen Virtus GT has been shared on YouTube by The Drivers Hub on their channel. It starts off with the host mentioning that a little while ago, the ECU of the Virtus was locked and was not ready for tune. However, things have changed now, and people have started tuning it to Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 as well.
This particular Virtus has been given a full Stage 3 setup, and it is currently the most powerful Virtus GT in the country. Following the introduction, the presenter opens up the bonnet of this sedan and lists out all the modifications done by the owner to take it to Stage 3 setup. He mentions that it has been given a massive Forge Motorsport cold air intake, which helps the car in breathing a lot better.
Next up, he mentions that it has also been given a MuchBoost upgraded turbocharger and a performance downpipe. He highlights that what makes this vehicle even more unique is that it features an air-to-air intercooler conversion. For this, the stock charge-cooler has been replaced by an intercooler, which was fitted with some custom fabrication.
As for the tuning side of things, the presenter mentions that GT Tuners has given it a Stage 3 ECU tune and a Stage 2 TCU tune. Following this, the host takes this particular Volkswagen Virtus GT on a test run. During the drive, he highlights that this vehicle is a lot more fun and engaging to drive. He compares it with a Stage 2 tuned Virtus and mentions that it does not feel like it’s going out of breath.
The Stage 2 cars feel a bit restricted. However, this Virtus is very lively and does not feel bland towards the top end. Next up, the presenter then starts mentioning that apart from the modifications made under the bonnet, this Virtus has a ton of other modifications as well. These include performance coilovers and a Nashen 320 mm floating big brake kit.
As for the cosmetic side of things, it has been given an aftermarket aggressive-looking front splitter and carbon-fiber louvered fenders. On the side profile, it has been given a set of super expensive OZ Racing Formula HLT wheels, which have been wrapped in Michelin tyres. At the rear, it gets an aftermarket rear diffuser with a functional quad-exit exhaust system, which is very rare.
On the inside as well, this particular Virtus GT has been given a Euro-spec instrument cluster. This is the same cluster which we now see on the updated Skoda Kushaq and the soon-to-be-launched Skoda Slavia. Apart from it, the owner has also added an illuminated Golf R steering wheel with touch-capacitive controls. Overall, this is currently one of the craziest Volkswagen Virtus GTs in the country.
The presenter highlights that currently, GT Tuners have claimed that it makes around 230 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. However, these numbers have not been dyno-verified, and the vehicle is going through additional tuning.
