Christian Kofane is expected to sign a contract extension with Bayer Leverkusen in the near future.
According to Bild, Die Werkself are on the verge of extending Kofane’s contract by a further two years – until 2031.
The new contract would see the Cameroon international earn a reported €4 million per year and would not include a release clause.
Extending Kofane’s contract would put Leverkusen in an even stronger negotiating position with interested clubs, with the forward having attracted interest from a number of Premier League sides.
Arsenal, Newcastle United, Everton and Aston Villa have all been mentioned as suitors for the 20-year-old striker.
