New Delhi. Mohsin Raza, who was a minister in the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh, has once again been given a big responsibility. Raza has been appointed chairman of Uttar Pradesh Minorities Commission. He will also get cabinet rank status. Apart from Raza, 8 members have also been appointed in the commission. Sandeep Jain, Anshuman Kumar Singh Massey, Sardar Hanpreet Singh Bedi, Mohammad Aslam, Sardar Parvinder Singh, Neha Khan, Syed Seraj Abbas Rizvi and Rumana Siddiqui have been named members. The tenure of the Chairman and all members will be three years.
BJP leader Mohsin Raza, reacting to his appointment as Chairman of the Minority Commission, said, I would like to thank Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the BJP organization that they have once again shown confidence in us by giving us this responsibility. Just as we have discharged our responsibilities with honesty and integrity in the past, similarly we will discharge the responsibilities of this Commission with integrity and honesty. Raza said that the way the opposition has tried to mislead the minorities in Uttar Pradesh, I will go among the people and talk to them, listen to their problems and solve them. So that the distance between the government and the minorities can be reduced.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resolve of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' and Yogi Adityanath's government in UP are moving ahead without any discrimination. We will work to take this resolution forward. Mohsin Raza had joined BJP before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He was later appointed spokesperson by BJP. In 2017, when Yogi government was formed in UP, he was included in the cabinet. He has also been a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council.
