Liverpool announces five-year sponsorship deal with Turkish Airlines

Liverpool has secured a five-year partnership with Turkish Airlines as its new principal club sponsor, beginning June 1, 2027. The move ends Standard Chartered’s 17-year stint as the Reds’ lead shirt sponsor.

Media reports value the agreement at more than 300 million pounds (USD 405.78 million), ranking it among the Premier League’s most lucrative shirt-sponsorship deals. Although Liverpool has not disclosed the exact figures, the package is expected to be of similar value as that of Manchester United’s shirt deal with Qualcomm, signed in August 2024.

A statement shared by the club went ahead to confirm that Standard Chartered will stay on as a Global Partner, but Turkish Airlines will assume the primary position in Liverpool’s commercial branding.

“The front of the Liverpool shirt holds a special place in the history of our club,” said Liverpool’s chief commercial officer Ben Latty.

“Turkish Airlines is a globally recognised organisation with an extensive international network, and we look forward to beginning our partnership and building a strong relationship together, with already strong foundations built from those special memories back in 2005,” he added, referring to Liverpool’s Champions League final comeback win in Istanbul.

The arrangement expands Turkish Airlines’ football sponsorship footprint, complementing its existing status as an official Champions League partner and main sponsor of Turkey’s national team.
