Technology Desk: Google has launched its Gemini app for Windows users. Now users will not need to open the browser again and again to use Gemini. This app has been designed in such a way that users can use Gemini even while working in other apps.
Gemini will open as soon as you press Alt + Space
The most striking feature of the Gemini app for Windows is its keyboard shortcuts. Users can bring Gemini on the screen by simply pressing Alt + Space.
Gemini will open in a floating window and users can ask quick questions while they work. For example, if you want to check information about a document, need information on any topic or want new ideas, then there will be no need to change the browser.
After the work is completed, users will be able to easily go back to their old app.

Dedicated workspace will be available for big works
If the user has to work on a big or long task, then a dedicated workspace is also provided in the Gemini app. It will have many features like the web version of Gemini.
According to Google, it also includes Gemini Spark. This AI agent helps in completing multi-step tasks.
Will also connect to Gmail and Google Drive
The Gemini app can also be linked to Google services like Gmail and Google Drive. After this, Gemini can make the user's work easier by using the necessary information available in these services.
For example, a user can have Gemini generate a summary of a project based on information saved in their Google apps.
Facility to create images and videos also
Google's AI image and video generation tools are also supported in the Windows app. Users can create images with the help of Nano Banana, while Gemini Omni can be used for video generation.
There will be less impact on PC speed
Google says the Gemini Windows app is kept lightweight. According to the company, it can run easily in the background and will not affect the performance of the PC much.
Google also said that the Gemini app for Windows has just launched. Many more native desktop features will be added in the upcoming updates.
Gemini app will run on Windows 10 and 11
The Gemini app for Windows is made available globally. It supports PCs running Windows 10 and Windows 11.
This means that now Windows users will be able to use Google's AI assistant Gemini directly from their desktop without opening the browser.
