Special food at BRICS Summit, more than 100 ITC chefs deployed!

Special arrangements for food for the guests at the ongoing BRICS summit in Bharat Mandapam, Delhi have been made by ITC Hotels. Indian and global cuisine is being served in the media center for the journalists and guests coming from India and abroad.

“We are presenting a variety of cuisines. For the last one and a half days, we have been showcasing food from our brands like Bukhara, Dum Pukht, Dakshin and Kebabs & Curries, so that every participant can taste them,” Manisha, ITC's corporate chef, told IANS at the BRICS Summit.

He said, “When we make the menu, because we know that guests come from all over the world. So it has our Indian food, along with it, there is also Chinese food, Western food too. This is because they will eat Indian food, but along with it, there should be their food also. Today we have showcased a little bit of food from all the countries.”

Manisha told that it is a matter of great pride for her that she has been selected for this event. He said, “We had served in the G20 also, apart from this we had also served in the AI ​​Summit. Now we are serving this summit also. In this, we also get a challenge, in which we showcase our country and it is a matter of great pride for us that we are given respect.”

He told that ITC has about 140 hotels across India. When such big events come, their expert chefs come from everywhere. More than 100 chefs are handling the menu and cooking food here.

Let us tell you that the original name of ITC was Imperial Tobacco Company of India Limited, which was established in 1910. It was renamed India Tobacco Company Limited in 1970 and finally to just ITC Limited in 1974.

The hotel division started with its first property in Chennai in 1975 and now operates over 150 properties under brands such as ITC Hotels and Welcome Hotels.
