Patna. There is big relief news regarding transfer for government teachers of Bihar. Taking the transfer process forward, the Education Department has set deadlines for different stages. First the transfer of mutual and surplus teachers will be completed, after which the teachers will get a chance to apply for the school of their choice.
Optional transfer will start from September 17
After the completion of the process of mutual and surplus teachers, applications for voluntary transfer will be taken from September 17 to 23. During this period, about 3 lakh teachers can apply online for the school of their choice. Teachers who have not been able to get mutual transfer earlier will also get a chance in this phase.
The department plans to release the final transfer list by October 31, so that teachers can contribute to new postings after the Chhath Puja holidays.
Focus will also be on rural schools
Transfer will be done keeping in mind the preferences of teachers, but the department does not want to allow shortage of teachers in rural schools. For this reason, the data of vacant posts available after mutual and surplus transfer will be decided and the process of voluntary transfer will proceed on the same basis.
Documents will also be examined
Along with transfer, verification of teachers' certificates related to education, caste, category and disability will also continue. If any discrepancy is found in the documents of a teacher, the transfer can be stopped till the investigation is completed.
