Settlement. A woman, who had come to Pakoliya sub post office of Sti district for work related to insurance and SBI, has made serious allegations against Sub Divisional Inspector (SDI) Saurabh Srivastava posted in Haraiya sub-division. In the complaint letter given to the higher officials, the woman has accused him of using abusive language, making objectionable gestures and demanding Rs 30,000 in return for getting the work done.
According to the complaint letter, Saroj Devi, wife of Shravan Kumar Paikolia, resident of Asnahra, had reached the sub post office for work related to insurance and SB deposit. At that time, a departmental meeting was going on in the post office, due to which she kept waiting for a long time. After the meeting was over, the woman asked SDI Saurabh Srivastava, are you an employee here? So the SDI woman told the woman that we are Haraiya SDI, my name is Saurabh Srivastava.
The woman alleges that during the conversation the SDI used abusive language with her and made objectionable gestures. When he protested, he was allegedly asked to bring Rs 30,000. According to the woman, when she clearly refused to give the money, she was abused and chased away from there.
The complainant says that after the incident, he had complained about the matter to Postal Superintendent Basti and other higher officials but till now he has not got justice. The woman has also alleged that she was allegedly told by the concerned officer that no matter where she complains, no harm can be done to her as the department is under his influence.
According to the complainant, the matter was investigated several times, but till now no effective action has been taken. The woman has demanded the authorities to conduct an impartial investigation into the entire incident and take appropriate action against the concerned officer if found guilty.
In this regard, the victim woman said that our struggle will continue until we get justice in the said case. If SDI Haraiya Saurabh Srivastava is not transferred/suspended, then we will be forced to protest against the Postal Department, for which the entire responsibility will be on the responsible officials of the Postal Department.
