IND vs AFG 2nd T20i: Batting first after losing the toss in the second T20I of the series at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi, Afghanistan scored 159 for 8 in 20 overs and set India a target of 160 for victory. Chasing these runs, India have won the second match in just 14.5 overs for the loss of 3 wickets and have put the series in their pocket. Both Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson scored 82 runs in the Powerplay today with a blistering innings. Now the third match will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on September 17.

For Afghanistan Ibrahim Zadran was the top scorer with 37 runs while Radesh Khan scored 28 not out. Darwish Rasooli scored 26 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy took three wickets for India. He bowled three overs and took a wicket on the first ball of each over. Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl first in the second T20I against Afghanistan. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was once again left out of the squad, while Ravi Bishnoi made it to the final 11 in place of Varun Chakraborty, who was ruled out of the series due to injury.

India lost their first wicket on 88 runs. Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for 39 off 19 balls. Rashid Khan has him caught in an unstoppable catch. In the same over, he caught Samson prophetically. Sanju Samson was dismissed after his half-century. This is his first half-century since the T20 World Cup. He scored 57 runs off 22 balls with seven fours and four sixes.

Sanju Samson wreaks havoc. His strike rate is above 200 in today's match. In a single over, he hit 6, 4, 4, 6 and it was seen that he had silenced the Afghanistan bowlers. Sanju and Abhishek from both sides got off to a good start for India and Ishaan followed up to top it off. Ishan Kishan also scored 38 runs in this match.
